Our deck post top cap internal dimensions are 3.58" x 3.58". They are designed for posts with a nominal standard 4 x 4 post (actual size from 3.5" x 3.5" up to 3.625" x 3.625" square posts). The caps are 1.24"/3 cm high, with a sitting depth on the post of 0.7in/1.8cm and a sidewall thickness of 2mm. Please measure your fence size correctly first.

Just put the post cap on the 4x4 nominal wood post, then screw the two screws into the wood post through the small holes on both sides of the post cap. Fix it with our matching screws through the pre-drilled holes. They will blend into the wood perfectly, making the assembly process easy and convenient.
